Biography

Art Fischer is a Professor of Management and has been on the faculty at Pittsburg State University since 1988. He holds a BA from Westminster College, an MHA from Baylor University, and an MBA and Ph.D. from the University of Missouri. He teaches courses in Introduction to Business, Human Resources Management and Business Government and Society at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Fischer has helped develop seminars for the American College of Health Care Executives. He has published in the Journal of Enterprise Education, the European Business Review, the Journal of Healthcare Marketing and the Journal of Private Enterprise, among others. He was selected as the Outstanding Teacher in the Kelce College of Business for 1995 and 1998.

Fischer is affiliated with numerous school and university committees. He is a Fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives, and is a retired healthcare executive. He is also a current member of Rotary International.
