Biography

Dr. Gerald R. Ledlow, CHE is a certified healthcare executive in the American College of Healthcare Executives with over twelve years of practical experience as a healthcare administrator. He has held several positions as the director of managed care operations for a health system, director of support services, plant and facility manager, medical material and purchasing manager, and has served on numerous committees and project teams, to include JCAHO Accreditation committees as a member and in leadership roles . Dr. Ledlow has formed a preferred provider organization for a health system, implemented resource utilization review systems, demand management systems, and referral management systems under a managed care model.

Dr. Ledlow earned a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership with emphasis on healthcare system communication from the University of Oklahoma, a Masters of Healthcare Administration from Baylor University, and a B.A. in Economics from the Virginia Military Institute. He has authored several publications and has been a closing speaker and seminar faculty member at various conferences, to include healthcare administration, clinical, and national conferences and conventions and scholarly conferences.

In June 2003, Dr. Ledlow became the first nonpracticing health care executive to receive the Early Career Healthcare Executive Regent’s Award.
