The Graduate Management Project (GMP) during the residency phase allows the student to integrate academic preparation with residency rotation experiences to deal with real life management problems in healthcare settings. The synthesis of the concepts is intended to use the discipline of research principles to help identify problems and recommend courses of action. The outstanding GMP is recognized with an award initiated by Boone Powell. Abstracts of selected GMPs are available for viewing at DTIC.

To find resources, use internet search engines (Google, HotBot, Yahoo!, or Dogpile), search the health literature (Medline), or use other federal research (including GMPs) reports from DTIC, the Government Printing Office, HSRProj (Health Services Research Projects in Progress), or the AMEDD Center and School library. There is a database of GMPs available. GMPs can be accessed at the AMEDD digital library.
