Richard Chu is a Managing Director and Senior Research Analyst covering the computer hardware and software industries. He has covered Japanese technology companies, as well as electronics design software, instrumentation, and semiconductor capital equipment. Mr. Chu has been recognized by Institutional Investor's "All-America Research Team" poll numerous times since 1979. He was ranked No. 2 in the 1999 Wall Street Journal "All Star Survey" in the category of computer hardware and PCs. Mr. Chu has been an analyst with SG Cowen since 1972. He received his A.B., Physics, magna cum laude, from Dartmouth College; M.A., Physics, from State University of New York at Stony Brook; and an M.B.A., from Columbia University Graduate School of Business.
