March/April 2009. Boston University School of Public Health Environmental Health Professor Richard Clapp has been awarded the 2008 Research Integrity Award from the International Society for Environmental Epidemiology. Dick received the award in recognition of his efforts to pursue and publish an in-depth study of mortality among IBM employees, in the face of resistance from IBM and a journal publisher. He has been involved in a number of controversial studies, including a mortality study of Vietnam veterans in Massachusetts. Well done! Robert W. Sherwin of Norwich, Vermont, continues his work with Vermont Windpower International and EAPC Wind Energy Services promoting energy solutions and wind power. Small wind turbine technology can be a meaningful contributor to national energy security, strategic technology, and long-term economic growth. Nancy Smoyer attended the dedication of the Whitey Burnham soccer/lacrosse field at the College. Also participating were 67s Ed Gray, Paul Killebrew, and Dick Clapp. It was a wonderful event, made even more poignant by losing Whitey in the fall.
