January/February, 2001. R. Stephen Cheheyl has joined the Board of Directors of Informio, a wireless Web infrastructure service firm in Lexington, MA. Working as a consultant, Steve retired as Executive Vice President of Business Operations of Bay Networks. He previously served as Senior VP of Finance and Administration at Wellfleet Communications. He picked up his MBA at Northwestern University. Bernie Goloboy of Marblehead, MA has been recognized by the Dartmouth Alumni Fund for his outstanding work with a Chairman's Citation for Outstanding Service. Bernie was co-head agent with David Lowenstein. Their efforts were key to increasing class participation. Edward A. Mallett, a prominent criminal defense attorney and partner in the Houston, TX law firm of Mandell & Wright, LLP, is the incoming president of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He received his law degree from the University of Texas. Ed is an adjunct law professor at the University of Houston and has served on the faculty of the National Criminal Defense College in Macon, GA. At Dartmouth, he was a member of the Forensic Union. David Williams Russell, chair of the International Practice Group of the Indianapolis-based law firm of Bose McKinney & Evans, LLP, has been elected to Indiana District Export Council, Inc. Dave is active in the World Trade Club of Indiana, Indiana's Forum for International Professional Services, and the International Law Section of the Indian State Bar Association. He earned his MBA from Tuck and his law degree with honors from Northwewstern University. Stephen H. Shaffer, Managing Director at Penny Lane Venture Capital Investments in Princeton, NJ was added to the myGeek.com's Board of Directors. Steve has been involved in positions at Prudential Insurance Company, Philadelphia National Bank, and Chase Manhattan Bank. He has an MBA in Finance from Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University. My own news is retired as a full colonel from the Army Reserves after 30 plus years. Still teach graduate students in health care administration for the U. S. Army-Baylor University program. Went to Washington, DC to chair a symposium at the American Psychological Association. Was given a Presidential citation for my national and international work as a military psychologist. While in DC, got together with Wayne C. Beyer, who is an assistant corporation counsel in the general litigation section for the city. In addition to his legal work, Wayne remains active writing.
