September/October 2005. Sam Ostrow has been elected President-elect of the Dartmouth Class Presidents Association and will be President beginning in September; a sign of the College's respect for our Class. Well done! Peter Golenbock has authored Idiot (with Sox centerfielder Johnny Damon). It is the sixth book to appear on the New York Times Best Seller list (Dynasty, The Bronx Zoo, Number 1, Balls, and Personal Fouls). Frederick W. Geissinger, chairman and CEO of American General Financial Services in Evansville was recognized with the University of Evansville Delta Sigma Pi Business Leader of the Year award. Rick earned the MBA from University of Chicago. He is a board member and chairman emeritus of the American Financial Services Association. Rick is a NASD registered representative. Fine reasons why our class treasury is in good hands. C. Michael Tucker, Jack Harris, and Howard Sharfstein attended the NYC celebration of the Dartmouth Partners in Community Service(DPCS). Our class is a partner in DPCS. Mentors are needed for Minneapolis and White River Junction. Sadly have to report the death of Lewis Pauker of Wilmette, IL, who died in February. Lew was a Senior Vice President for Helene Curtis. He was well respected by his classmates and fraternity brothers. Attending his funeral were Howard Sharfstein, Harry Jaffe, David Sclove, Jim Peck, Sam Ostrow, and '66s Chris Sanger and Mike Nadel. Our regrets to Judith, and sons Benjamin and Edward. Remember to contribute to the College Fund; gifts at any level help. Join the class 60th birthday party during October 7-9, 2005. Classmates interested in helping with the 60th party and 40th Reunion planning should RSVP Bruce Pacht (bruce@uds.org) Check and post your news at the 1967 Class website http://www.dartmouth.org/classes/67/ Dave Mangelsdorff (3410 Turtle Village Drive, San Antonio, Texas 78230-3918) e-mail to dmangels@txdirect.net 210-344-0942
