The Council and the Association of Alumni are making alumni participation in College affairs more effective and democratic. Look for Sam's name on the Editorial Board of the Alumni Magazine. Henry B. Polin unexpectedly died at his home in Kirkland, Washington in November. Hank's devotion to his patients was clear to those who worked with him in his long career in Seattle that began with a pulmonary fellowship at the University of Washington and ended with 10 years of service at The Polyclinic. On a personal note, my book on Psychology in the Service of National Security is available from the American Psychological Association books. It traces how the behavioral and social sciences contributed to addressing national security challenges and the relevance of psychology to building resiliency.
