May/June 2007. Sam Ostrow provided more details on the 40th reunion, the theme being "The Road Less Traveled" -- it's a celebration of how different a class we are. The Class of 1967 is adopting Nancy Smoyer, Bill Smoyer's sister, who will be our guest at the Reunion and participate in the Memorial Service Tuesday afternoon as well as at other events. We are going to have a very special reception event at The Hood Museum Tuesday afternoon, at which we will celebrate the Class of 1967's 40th Reunion gift to the College, a permanent endowment of A Space for Dialogue at the entrance to The Hood and soon other campus buildings. We will be joining with the Class of 2007 at the Bema as we turn over stewardship of the Old Pine. We are having a wonderful symposium at our Class Meeting on Wednesday called "The Road from Here" -- 67's talking about their plans for the future. We are having the last ever Class Reunion dinner at Thayer (it's being torn down soon) on Monday, dinner on the Baker Library Lawn on Tuesday and a special "to be announced location" Wednesday. For those who want to stay over another day, John and Gail Wasson are hosting another special barbecue dinner at their barn in Lebanon on Thursday night. There's a lot more. 67's are encouraged to go to the website for the complete and updated schedules and for a complete list of the 67's who plan on joining us. If you have not done so, make your reservations NOW for June 11-14, 2007. Bruce Pacht is the point of contact. More details are on the Great Class of 1967 webpage. See you there.
