JERRY ZAKS (Director) has directed the New York productions of: Guys & Dolls, Laughter on the 23rd Floor, Six Degrees of Separation, Lend Me a Tenor, The House of Blue Leaves, Anything Goes, The Front Page, Assassins, The Foreigner, Wenceslas Square, The Marriage of Bette and Boo, Sister Mary Ignatius ... , Baby with the Bathwater and Beyond Therapy. He served as resident director at Lincoln Center Theatre from 1986 to 1990 and is a founding member of the Ensemble Studio Theatre. He is currently on the executive board of the SSDC and is happily affiliated with Jujamcyn Theatres. For directing, he has received four Tonys, four Drama Desks, two Outer Critics Circle Awards, an Obie, a Drama-Logue and an NAACP Image Award nomination for his national tour of The Tap Dance Kid. He is the 1994 recipient of the George Abbott Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Theatre. A graduate of Dartmouth with an M.F.A. from Smith, he's married to actress Jill P. Rose. They have two daughters.
