The Kibbe ancestry came to the United States
from England in the mid 1640's and settled in the Boston, Massachusetts
area. There, Edward Kibbe set up a sawmill
on the Muddy River in what is now Brookline, Massachusetts.
Edward was born May 11, 1611 in Exeter, England to Edward and Deborah Kibbe. It is believed that Edward married Mary Partradge or Partridge in England.
One can only imagine the hardships that this pioneer couple encountered. Leaving family and friends in England and arriving at what must have been a vast wilderness at that time. Possibly this type of courage is what has made the Kibbe family strong today.
The following is my Kibbe ancestry. There are, of course many other lines from Edward. I would be interested in hearing any information you might have. Should you wish information on my line, please e-mail me. I will respond to all inquires.
