Susa was the capital city of Elam. It is located in Mesopotamia, on the Ulai River. Susa was occupied for 5,000 years. Archeological work has existed on the site for 100 years. The site has yielded Elamite inscriptions, Old Akkadian texts, Sumerian Ur III texts, and a number of legal texts, including the Codex Hammurabi.
