Pictures from Past Reunions
UPDATE: In the 2001 Reunion in St. Louis, MO., you will find a couple picture referencing the Palawan (14 December 1944) Massacre.
- Joseph E. Dupont, Jr. ("Frenchie", PFC, HQ 2ND BN, and a survivor of Palawan as well) thought the concrete slab over the mass grave was pretty darn poor, considering what it represents.
- So he took up a collection (Dad and Mom and I sent a little) and had a nice monument commissioned and approved by the proper authorities.
- Saturday, October 4, 2003, at 10:30 a.m. there was a formal ceremony at grave side, at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
- Everybody was invited. Martin Christie was kind enough to send a couple pictures.

It was simply impossible to load dad in a car and drive him further than a few miles after 2001. Truth be told, the 2000 Reunion trip was more than mom and I had bargained for. As he could no longer attend the Reunions, neither did I.
